Anecdote: the day of the Inn's restaurant's opening, the salt and the pepper shakers were still in their boxes. That evening, the customers used the Kitchen shakers!

STORY BEHIND THE INNKEEPERS ADVENTURE
The ways of the Lord are unfathomable, and movies lead to everything.
Jérôme and Ginette’s prior life was the glorious world
of sound and image.
For more than 20 years, Jérôme traveled the world as a cameraman/documentary
filmmaker, while Ginette worked as a production manager and first assistant
director.
Does genetic memory serve some purpose?
On Jérôme’s side: an extended Italian family (father, mother,
uncles and grandparents)
who emigrated from Venice to Perigord.. This explains in part the color and
aromas that fill the kitchen.
On Ginette’s side: a paternal grandmother, born Isola Rocheleau in December
1894.
She served glasses of white wine and shots of caribou whiskey at her father’s
inn.
She was a fine looking young woman (we have photographs to support it)
whose indomitable energy (she died in October 1998, a young centenarian) was
witnessed by all of the regulars at the Hotel de St-Pie de Bagot as well as
the commercial travelers who stopped there between 1910 in 1914.
Jerome and Ginette common denominator?
A mania for detail and taste for quality work.
The pleasure of sharing with people our many travel stories and past experiences.
The game of seduction: delicious cuisine, replete with wine, attentive and
personalized service, warm and well maintained decor, fabulous garden waiting
to be discovered: so many charming features to win you over.
